Happy Monday! It’s a new week and I’ve got some exciting assignments on my agenda. Unfortunately, most of them are stacked up over the next three days. And I’ll be out the door to cover a story at 9 a.m. today. So, coffee is a must.
This week, I’m featuring the Eclairity from my e-book, Coffee: The New Cocktail. It features a step-by-step tutorial so you can make your own cold brew coffee at home for just pennies. And it’s got 20 delicious recipes, too. Like this one.
I’ve mentioned before how I started indulging my sweet tooth with sugar free versions of my favorite desserts, mixed with cold brew coffee. It makes a great afternoon treat and it helps me fight off the urge to eat things I shouldn’t.
When I was little, I’d go on errand runs with my dad on the weekends. Once in a while, we’d stop at this little local grocery store with a wonderful bakery. He’d tell me I could pick out a treat and my eyes would get wide. Everything was so pretty and had fancy names. They had Napoleons, petit fours, and eclairs. And they all came wrapped in that little pink box, tied with string.
So, the eclair is an extra special treat for me. Not only is it delicious, but it reminds me of precious time spent with my dad.
To make the Eclairity, I use Irish cream, chocolate, and white chocolate syrups. And I always use heavy whipping cream. It gives it a nice, rich flavor that can’t be replicated by milk, half and half, or creamer.
Now, off to get ready for my assignment, and on with the week. Here’s to a productive one for all of us.
Are you a cold brew coffee fan?
