Happy Monday! It’s time for another edition of But First, Coffee, so we can kick off a productive week.
I’m kind of in a state of flux on some projects, waiting for others to get back to me with edits. For other projects, I’m pushing to finish or just continuing to make progress. So, this week could be busy, or not.
But however it goes, there’s always time to step back and take a break, sip my coffee, and size it all up before getting back to work. Like many writers, I find that little breaks – intentional or unintentional – can help me return to tasks with greater focus.
The Gnarly Marley from Coffee: The New Cocktail is the perfect cold brew drink for those times when you want to escape for a little vacation, but can only do so in your mind.
It combines Coconut, Butter Rum, Brown Sugar Cinnamon, and Almond Roca syrups.
Kinda tropical. Kinda nutty. It’s a little bit like summer in a glass, even if it’s raining outside. Of course, I make mine all sugar free. And I add a little heavy whipping cream to top it all off.
It’s a sweet escape to another place. And that’s fine with me. I’ll be back at work soon enough.
What kind of flavors take you away to someplace else?
